Custom Letter Jewelry: The Complete Gifting Guide
Personalized pieces — initial pendants, name bracelets, letter charms — are the fastest-growing category in our studio. They are also the category where a small mistake in ordering causes the most heartbreak. This guide makes your custom order foolproof.
Why letter jewelry works as a gift
A custom piece converts a generic accessory into a document of a person: a child’s initial, a grandmother’s name, the letter of a city where something happened. It is the difference between “a necklace” and “her necklace.” For anniversaries, new mothers, graduations and long-distance friendships, it consistently out-scores every non-personalized option we track.
What you can customize at YaaBling
- Letters and names on pendants and bracelets (see necklaces and bracelets).
- Finish: gold-plated or silver, where the product offers both.
- Chain length: default 14 + 5 cm extender on bracelets; note your preference at checkout if different.
Write your customization note like this
At checkout there is a notes field. The perfect note has three lines:
- Text exactly as engraved: e.g.
MorSofia— copy-paste the spelling, do not describe it. - Finish:
goldorsilver. - Size/length (if not default): e.g.
chain 45 cm.
Double-check capitalization and accents — we engrave exactly what you write.
Lead time and shipping
Custom pieces are made to order: about 12 business days of crafting, then shipping (7–15 days standard, 4–7 days express). Order at least 4 weeks before the event date to stay relaxed. Non-custom items ship within 24–72 hours.
Returns on custom work
Personalized pieces cannot be restocked, so they are excluded from standard returns — but every custom piece is covered by our remake guarantee: any craftsmanship error (wrong letter, faulty plating, loose setting) is remade or refunded, with a photo, within 30 days.
Last tip
When in doubt between two initials and one, choose one. A single letter reads cleaner at small sizes and ages better stylistically. And if the gift is for someone who wears almost nothing, pick a bracelet over a necklace — wrists are lower-stakes than necklines, and custom bracelets get worn daily.
